Thursday Blues

I love a good blue.  There really are an infinite number of shades of blue which is probably why it's my favorite color.  I'm really loving it for fall too! Shop my picks and styling tips below and let me know which piece is your favorite in the comments below!

Blazers

This navy blazer is a great Balmain dupe but at a fraction of the price (I'm talking under $100 here).  It's a great all-season layering piece.  I'd wear it over a basic t-shirt or cashmere sweater with some straight leg jeans and killer flats.  Another blazer I LOVE (but isn't really that blue so I didn't include in this collage) is this tweed one from Boden! It feels very Veronica Beard and would be another good layering piece for fall.

Coats

I'm also continuing my search for a light blue coat after the one I fell in love with in the Nordstrom Sale Catalogue turned out to be not so great.  J.Crew is coming to the rescue though with not one but TWO options.  This ice blue two button coat is very similar to the one from Nordstrom in shape and it would be great for layering over a very tailored dress.  The brighter blue option has a great feminine shape on it's own and is thinsulate lined, making it extra warm.  I also really like this navy trench style from Mango.  It would be great with the navy bag in this post!

Handbags

This royal blue handled basket bag is another favorite.  It reminds me of a less granny version of a Nantucket Basket.  It'll make me think of summer when it's freezing cold this winter but for now, I'd carry it with chic shorts and a classic striped tee.  I'm also a big fan of the light blue handled basket tote (also from Amanda Lindroth, one of my favorite designers).  And another great handbag is this navy croc lady bag! It's such a fun spin on a traditional shape--I'm really liking the clasp.

Home

Tory Burch's home line is fantastic and I love this spongeware candle.  My mom has passed down a lot of her spongeware to me and I've quickly become a big fan of the more casual twist on classic blue and white china.  Speaking of home accents, how fantastic are these blue stacking boxes? I'd love them tucked into a bookshelf (they'd be great for storing extra coasters and other occasionally used things).  These monogrammed cocktail napkins are old school but really fun.  I'd love to see what she could do with the Cass Dickson logo.  They come in a few other shapes too!  And this ginger jar hand towel is a classic.  I have a few things from this company, Jacaranda Living, and love them (they've held up well over the years too!).

Dresses

I'm always looking for a good dress.  Even though I wear jeans almost every day, there's nothing I enjoy more than putting on a great dress, it puts a little extra pep in my step.  I'm really liking this navy midi Free People dress for fall.  It's a great comfy/casual style that look good with English Tan boots and a camel coat once it's cooler out.  My love of Carolina Herrera knows no bounds and this bright blue floral dress increased my love a bit more.  I love finding her pieces on The RealReal (because then I can actually afford them).  I also think this one shoulder dress would be great for early fall weddings!

Shoes

If you know me personally, you probably know I have a bit of a shoe problem... These light blue suede slingbacks are under $75 which makes staying on trend much more affordable.  I probably won't continue wearing them through the winter but will bring them back out next spring and summer.  These ice blue snakeskin flats would be great with all denim washes (I'd love them with black jeans and the light blue coat in this collage).  And these navy zebra calfhair pumps are a great walkable height and because they're navy AND black, would be very practical.
