I've always been a bit overwhelmed by the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale. Everyone talks about it and things sell out quickly and what do you do if you're not a cardmember? But this year, determined to make the most of it, I've decided to prepare (and sort through things so you don't have to). I've earmarked and circled the catalogue, gone through the complete list of things that will be discounted (it was long and totally disorganized) and have found some highlights that are worth sharing now so you'll know what to grab before prices go back up!
The temperatures are getting pretty steamy and I don't feel like wearing anything other than a dress right now. There are so many cute styles this summer so I rounded up some of my favorites (all are under $250). PLUS, tons of them are on sale this weekend for the Fourth of July. This Saloni dress is over half off, this blue floral dress is under $75, and this striped shirt is a good year-round basic (also love the designer's name) J.Crew is offering 50% off sale styles plus 40% off full priced styles. Perfect excuse to stock up on basics like this t-shirt ($9 with the sale), or this classic blue blazer. I also love this pink embroidered caftan and see myself wearing it around the house year-round. Anthropologie is offering 50% off Tag Sale items. I love so many of their home items, especially this llama dish towel, and this block print tote. If I could dress in head-to-toe blue, I would. Actually, come to think of it, I actually do wear exclusively blue on a regular basis...like three times a week. It's my favorite color and one I naturally gravitate towards. Like all good children, I blame my mother for this color obsession (she's even worse than I am about wearing all blue).
I listen to NPR on my way to work almost every morning.
